Q: How often should my carpets be professionally
cleaned? (EPA Recommendations)
A: If carpet is cleaned before it becomes too unsightly,
the cleaning chore will be easier and more successful.
Allowing the carpet to become overly soiled may result
in irreversible damage. It is a common myth that cleaning
the carpet before it is absolutely necessary will cause it
to get dirty faster. This goes back to the days when the
shampoo methods were the most common. Carpet in a
typical household should be professionally cleaned every
6 to 18 months depending upon the number of residents,
amount and type of activity, and whether the carpet is
light or dark color.
Q: How long will it take for my rugs to dry?
A: Our superior methods and equipment allows us to extract over 98% of water used to clean your wall to wall carpet. This means your carpets will be completely dry within a couple hours of cleaning. You and your family can walk on your rug immediately after cleaning, but waiting until completely dry assures the best results. Oriental rugs being dropped off after being cleaned at our facility are ready for immediate use upon delivery.
Q: How far in advance does it take to set up an appointment to get my rugs cleaned?
A: Once you contact us, we can schedule an appointment immediately and clean your carpets or pickup your oriental rug within 24 to 48 hours. Turnaround time for delivery service of oriental rugs is usually 1 to 2 weeks.
Q: Will you be able to remove the stains?
A: While we cannot guarantee stain removal, we are successful in removing well over 95% of all the stains we come across.
Q: Are the cleaning agents you use to clean my carpets safe for my children, pets and the environment?
A: Yes! All of the cleaning agents Sani-Clean uses on carpets are safe, non-toxic and biodegradable. They are among the most highly tested in the industry and have been created with the safety of those who live on them in mind.
Q: Will having my rugs cleaned protect them from future stains or becoming dirty again?
A: Cleaning your rugs will lengthen their life, but Sani-Clean can apply our optional protective coating Stai-Clene® 940 to help prevent future stains and allow for easier cleanup of spills. Our protective coating will keep your rugs cleaner longer and reduce the likelihood of permanent staining.
Q: Can you remove pet stains and pet odors from our rugs?
A: Sani-Clean is successful in removing most pet stains and odors. However, we unfortunately cannot guarantee their complete removal. We have techniques that take advantage of ultraviolet lighting to locate specific problem areas on your rug. The rugs are then cleaned and deodorized.
Q: My Oriental rug is made of a specialty fabric, can it be safely cleaned?
A: Yes. We carefully assess each oriental rug before every cleaning. We clean Braided / Chintz / Cotton / Silk / Rag (or ragg) / Flokati / Navajo (Navaho) / Dhurrie / Ingrain / Kilims (Kelims) wool rugs and many others on a daily basis. Q: Is shampooing my carpets okay.
A: No. Sani-Clean does not use or recommend shampooing or scrubbing your rug or carpet. Doing so causes a major buildup of residue. Shampooing and scrubbing does not extract dirt and chemicals from your rug and instead works them into the backing of it. There, the dirt and residue can cause the rug to break down and dramatically shorten the life of your rug. Excess moisture and bacteria will do the same.
