Step 1: Free Pickup of Your Oriental Rugs

Our company will come to your home to pick up your rug at no additional charge.

Note: Please have your rug prepared for pickup by having it accessible and rolled up.

Step 2: Dry Soil Removal

Woven rugs, especially hand knotted rugs are designed to hide dry soil. We use a variety of techniques to “dust” the rugs from the front andback. A machine called a pile lifter along with a rug duster and special vacuum attachments and many other methods are implemented. This is the most important step in cleaning any textile.

Step 3: Testing

Depending on fiber content and soiling type, along with testing of fibers and colors, we will determine which of our 5 different cleaning systems is best suited for your fine rug.

Step 4: Pre-Spot, Pre-Condition and Fringe Preparation

All rugs are treated to set colors and prevent any bleeding. Any potentially difficult spots will be pre-treated with special solutions to increase chances of removal.* The rug will be pre-treated to emulsify the soils. The fringe is also pre-treated for maximum soil removal.

Step 5: Cleaning

Developed over 29 years and protected by trade secrets, your rugs are cleaned using one of our proprietary systems which are especially designed to get maximum cleaning while protecting sensitive colors and natural fibers.

Step 6: Rinsing

Your fine oriental rug is assured of being completely residue free by rinsing with a proprietary formula and the Sani-Clean extraction method using settings developed and designed especially for Oriental Rugs.

Step 7: Dry

Once the rinsing is done, your rug is placed in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. Here it will be dried flat or hung to dry depending on which system was chosen to clean your rug. Proper drying is essential to avoid any type of shrinkage.

Step 8: Finishing

When the rug is dry, it is combed and finished with soft groomers made for specialty rugs.

Step 9: Post Inspection and Free Delivery

Our cleaning specialist will give the rug a final inspection and release it for delivery. Your rug will be wrapped to protect it from dust and environmental soils until it is delivered.
